Thought this at first a wax myrtle, which are found in abundance in SC…but this flowers look larger. The leaves look in the magnolia family. I will ask my husband. He knows his shrubs better.
Hi Patty, Yeah, I don’t think it’s was myrtle – I looked at images on the internet for the flowers of was myrtle and they don’t look like this. Did you see the other photo I posted of this? It was a close-up.

I discovered what it is! It’s Japanese Pittosporum!

I showed your photo to my husband and he got the Pittosporum right, but not Japanese. It is a pretty plant.
