I think it is interesting that when using the “toning up to a vein” technique my brain desperately wanted to make them stick straight as seen here in the front view of the leaf. They were not drawn in that way but during the process my brain somehow gave the order to straighten them out. I used the embossing technique for the back of the leaf and also switched to a different paper and I think I had better results.

Traci, this is great. And although you may have straightened your veins out a bit when toning up to them, they still look very natural. Very nice.
