Hi Melanie- nice job on this branch! The bark looks very realistic and I really like how your highlight shimmies!!! I would lighten the areas flanking the highlight a little. The outside edges are a bit fuzzy. Using the verithin pencils on the edges makes them more crisp.
Hi Doug! So I think what is happening is that I’m a bit timid about doing larger variations in lighter to darker shades, so I will practice that more. I think I’m overworking some areas because I’m not sure when to stop adding color. Thanks for your advice about the Verithin pencils, what a great idea!
