I wanted to show the inside of almond, but I could not break it into two halves neatly. So, I sliced off the surface of a flat side of the nut. How can I make the sliced surface appear smooth and flat? Colored pencils left tiny marks and the surface looks rough. I tried to use water colored pencil, but it picked up the fiber from the paper surface and made it worse.
