You have done a wonderful job on these apples – twice!!!! The patterning helps establish some form, but I would add some toning to emphasize it! As I thought, without the heavy cast shadow that was on your original drawing this version could use more toning. Are you going to do a cast shadow?
Doug, thank you. I don’t think I will do a cast shadow. It probably would be better for me to start over. Also, I just deleted the daffodil and replaced it with a photo with further changes. Will go back and see if I can change the direction of the lower petal as suggested.
