This drawing just gets more interesting every time I see it Mary Jo! The left edge (closest to the light source) is darker than the right edge which would be furthest from the light source. I think you could have more range in mid-tones in addition to the darks. Are all three shapes going to be the same beautiful color as the sphere?
Thanks for your comments, Doug. The orange is removable and when I drew it , I followed the orange that I did in my first workshop with Wendy in February. Consequently I didn’t pay any attention to the light source in the drawing of the shapes. I thought of picking the orange up and turning it around but that would certainly put the highlight in the wrong spot. My plan is to do an apple drawing for the apple form and not sure what do for the cylinder. Both will be in color. Will make adjustments to the orange. Thanks again, Mary Jo
