(anybody who has tried it has any suggestions about how and where to add in text ?
thanks for sharing, if so !
I am just loving the look of the pages with text that i saw in the webinar and
on this discussion board) View
Goodness …Thank you, Wendy,
you just made my day !
Later this month, I will upload some images to ask for help.
I am making an event with my piano school, a fundraiser,
to plant as many trees as possible in a safe environment.
So, I will include many drawings (mine, theirs, of other artists, too)
in the printed programme.
On my drawing (I am still choosing a subject),
I will certainly need the help of you and of Vern !
Thank you for this reply !
(the story is amazingly beautiful, it is a japanese folktale,
called the “Willow Wife”)
Thank you so much, Suzanne… I found that little branch of willow
when I was walking my dogs. And just could not resist drawing her–
and she reminded me too much of the folktale (The Willow Wife)
not to add that in, too-
(thank you !)

I love this, Nita. Great combination of text and image.
Thanks so much, Vern. I’m trying to put together a journal with tree details and text to leave out with other items (drawings, information cards) for the audience to look through at the fundraiser recital (for planting trees) . . .
so I am doing quite a few trees + text sketches lately…
the folktale, The Willow WIfe, is absolutely beautiful…unreadable in my handwriting..
but if you ever run across it, I promise it is worth the read-
Thank you for your kind comments and for looking through my sketches !

Nita, the leaves have such a light, airy quality about them, and I love the echo of their movement in the script style.

This is my favorite of your drawing and script compositions. It is lovely.
