Beautiful Pat!!!! Love the color and how pleasing the water drop placement is. You really lucked out that they were so well positioned, but of course the drawing is so successful because of how you have illustrated them! Very striking!!!!!!
Hey Pat, curious to know if you found the leaves with the water drops or you added them in? I think they look really good but I am curious in part because each drop is a perfect circle, so I wonder if that was intentional? Really nicely done!
The leaf had the water drops on it. It had been a rainy fall. As I was walking I noticed only the leaves in front of this one house had raindrops on them-no others. I took a photo and drew the leaf from it, editing certain decayed areas. It was my first piece at a new level so it was probably artist eye error in regard to the shape of the raindrops . The reason I posted it was to see if any of you thought there should be darker toning on the left side, my shadow side.
This is the back of a leaf found on the city sidewalk in autumn

It’s beautiful and calm, tranquil as is. Adding the dark to the shadow side would increase the contrast/drama.
