Finally finished this one. I tried to improve the composition by adding some butterflies. I couldn’t find a way to create some interaction between the the individual flowers/stems so this is my compromise. Interested to get some feedback. Thanks.
This looks great Patricia! Your rendering is beautiful and I think adding the butterflies has made the composition very successful.! I love how precise and crisp your work is! Beautiful!
Nice drawing. I love seeing pollinators! And I like the variety of shapes, lacy leaves, delicate silky flowers, and little bud nuggets! One thing that bothers me is having 2 parallel mostly vertical stems and both lopped off at the same place. It seem a bit static. I wouldn’t try to change this drawing, but just a thought for future compositions.

Thanks for the advice Katy. I get what you mean about the parallel lines. Distracts from a single focal point too.
Patricia – it is lovely. Your delicate, thoughtful rendering and pale colour palette are just stunning. What a lovely touch and colour sense you have.
Patricia I just watched the Angela Lober Norfolk Island Pine video you recommended to Machi so long ago. Really enjoyed it.
