Wonderful studies, Peta. Are you a left or right handed drawer? It’s good to keep your light source consistent on a page. The sphere and column on the upper left look lit from the left. The tomatoes on lower right look lit from the right. I like those vein studies. 🙂
Oh dear, I didn’t realise an actual person looked at these (I’m new to the course). This stuff was all from Wendy’s introduction video where she unpacked the box and used all the bits inside… she did lots of random drawings/paintings in this video and I squashed them all on the same page… I’m a right hander, and so I reversed the tomatoes, but then I was using her workbench and light set from the video for the ball and cylinder, so the light source was on the other side. 🙂 I’ll remember your advice in future. Thanks.
Peta, just wanted to say welcome to draw botanical! You are off to a great start. Please keep sharing your work as you go through the lessons. Looking forward to watching you go through this journey. It’s so much fun.
Yes – welcome Peta! Lovely to meet you here. You can type @ and then a person’s name, a drop down menu will appear and you can select the person’s name, and it will send them a message. For example if I type @pam , the pull down menu appears and I can select @pgthompson – you’ll see her name and photo there
If you have questions that art related to getting feedback about your work, this is the place to ask (and using Sam’s suggestion of using the @person feature is great). If you have a more general question you can email info@drawbotanical.com and we can find the right person to answer your question. Glad you’re enjoying it!!!

Thank you so much Pam… I love it already. If I have questions, who/how do I contact please?
