Extraordinary. Can you share how you get the veining so fine? I am a novice and getting small tiny lines is a struggle for me right now. Your work is beautiful Pam.
Thanks everyone! Katherine, I started off by doing a lot in watercolor before putting in layers of colored pencil. I was able to get very fine lines with a very small brush – size 0. And then when I switched over to colored pencil, I waited until I was mostly done to darken the veins were already water colored in, and add more veins. I used a very sharp colored pencil (sharpened with the muji sharpener, and then rubbed on paper on its side to sharpen it more). Hope that helps!
Pam, So beautiful! A lovely study in greens and reds. And such an interesting plant!
So beautiful Pam, wow! Is this the little plant you were drawing last fall?
Thanks guys. And yes. Same plant 🙂
This is wonderful! It has an otherworldly quality to it
Perfection Pam!!!!
Gorgeous!
Stunning, Pam. Love the delicate fade out of the base mosses. And your colour work is exquisite.
