I’m using tracing paper to very loosely try to work out a composition around my sycamore leaf. I want to try to show how the leaf has a hollow petiole (because it covers next year’s bud). And I want to put in one of the fruits, and show the seeds being dispersed by the wind. Anyway, this is a very rough idea. Any suggestions?
Hi Pam- I think the placement of the sketch leaves nicely balances the painted leaf. Their shape and placement also conveys that they are blowing in the wind as do the seeds. I am not sure what the ring in the middle is. Could the fruit be attached to the stem? Or were you thinking of it being part of the whirlwind?
