Patty, I love all the text and information on this page! The leaf drawing is very lovely. You’ve really shown its structure and how it attaches to the stem. The flower petals seem a little … disconnected.. from the center to me. Perhaps some dark toning where the petals meet the center? And a little more dark toning on the leaves that are behind the flower to show some more depth there? Great work. Really love this page.
Yes, I had trouble with that area. I should have drawn and colored the negative shapes around the small stamens than try and use the stylus to draw them in and hoped they showed up . I have done Nature Journaling for many years and am used to naming things on the page and in adding lettering.
Oh I love this page! I first saw hellebore at the John C Campbell Folk School and fell in love with it – I now have it in my garden! The lone petal in the upper left is beautiful as well!
