Much frustration in trying to draw the intricate carrot top strands which are masses of tiny tangled leaves. I remembered seeing a reference online about photocopying a leaf to better understand the form. So I thought why not and photocopied a couple of examples of the carrot greens. Although it was meant as an aid I ended up tracing the small strand and adding to the carrot study. What did come of this is seeing negative shapes and the spaces between the masses of small leaves.
