this is like a Star of David ! I never saw one of this. I like the strong composition, with the long leaves crossed behind the flower. Very contemporary rendering, modern and clean…
wish i could take a sample of anything. I am Pathological about it. How much my drawing would improve if i did… but i even sat outside to draw the finished rose… because i am not sure if i want to cut it away from the rosebush. Just pathetic….. I love these scientific pages I am too much of a wimp to make !

Really nice, Karye! I’d love to see another view of this flower, rather than straight on… this is lovely and symmetrical, and I think a slightly tilted view would give us more information about how the flower grows? Just a thought. 🙂 (Love the petal studies!)

Yes, I will try the flower from another view. Maybe it will look less angular.
I used a ruler, and I can see now from the photo it looks very geometric.
(i liked the star of david that is hidden in this flower … and also the crisp and modern rendering)
(as well as the delicate colours)
(and your incredibly beautiful handwriting and also discovering a plant i had never seen)
This looks like such an interesting plant. I love the speckled detail on the petal.
