I can see you have been putting some work in on this one. And it is paying off! Such an interesting subject with the curling little petals in the center. I like the colors you have chosen for the shadows. I think you could add even more in those little triangles where the petals meet and overlap. Try indigo, but be careful and use it judiciously, With all the nice work on the flower, I’d like to see a bit more detail in the leaf on the right and the sepals on the left flower. Not so much that its is competing for attention.
Thank you, Katy, this is really helpful. I will try to work the shadows in the main flower. It is quite saturated though, unsure it will accept more pigment! I will also try to rework the sepals. The problem with the leaf is that I don’t have a good picture of it and hadn’t planned on making it that important… I even considered cutting it out somehow!
Renata, sometimes when I think a drawing can’t take any more layers, if I let it rest for a day or two, I can go back in with with more layers with no problem.

You could also try to add some darks with a tiny brush and some dry bush watercolor… just a thought. Looking great, Renata!

Hi all, thank you for the tips. Will try to work some indigo in without making a hole in the paper. LOL
