Hi Doug and Vern- Your input is so incredibly helpful- I think I have really improved the stem and I am working on an open flower in the background- I wish I had planned better and would have ideally liked some of the petals coming in front of the stem I have but too late now- anyway, for some reason without your encouragement I guess I was fearful of really adding those darks- I used the reddish brown since that was the color the leaf actually had in some spots- I am very happy with the dimensionality it has now but think I need to work a little more on the swollen part under the flower- I keep trying to vary the color on the pink but it just keeps getting darker and darker so not sure where to do there- Im taking a break as not sure how to tackle the middle part and looking forward to the work shop tomorrow and thinking maybe I will pick up some tips there- sorry this is so long- in re-reading it feels like an essay but anyway thanks again- your input is always so valuable

Hi Rita- the stem is definitely looking better and I like how you positioned the bloom. Keep up the good work!
