Hi Rita, this is such a lively drawing! I love the greens with the magentas! And the centers of the flowers are so luscious! And I love the shine on the leaf. I agree with Doug, you could make those flowers be more cup shaped by adding some shading. Think of the light on form and how you would shade for a cup shape.

What a fun study, Rita. I really enjoy seeing all the elements of this plant together on the page like this. (The only thing that’s missing in my opinion is a look inside a dissection of that tubular flower!) 😉 Capturing that deep center on flowers like this is tough… I wonder about maybe letting that crisply-defined magenta circle in the center fade slightly as it turns into the petals? Let that hard edge become more soft and sculptural, to sort of integrate that center part into the rest of the flower? What do y’all think?
