Hi Rita- beautiful rich saturated colors! Helene wanted to know how you achieved that and I know you mentioned in the past that you have used a pen. Is that the case here? I think I would add dark shading on the middle and bottom base of the petals where it meets the stem. I think some highlights on the left and the sections that fold over would help give more dimension.
@doug-milne yes- I used red pen for the grasaille layer and watercolor and colored pencil on top- I mostly did just watercolor for the stem- the ink has a bit of a problem for me as it tends not to have sister darks and lights- though I think with practice it can be done- it helps get super saturated color
