So pretty! I love the veining in the leaves and the delicate pink on the flower. I get a little lost where the two leaves meet, I can’t tell which one is in front. Maybe darken the one in back.
Thank you, Nita! It is such a surprising little orchid-with the pink pouch (slipper) emerging at the end of the thin stem. Your comments are so encouraging!

Susan, what a lovely flower! Great parallel veining in the leaves. I agree with Liz that this drawing could benefit from a few more dark areas to show depth. That back leaf towards the bottom, and up where the stem passes behind the flower. Just a little bit of shading will go a long way here. Lovely work!
Pink Lady Slipper-looking for suggestions!

Thanks, Liz. I am working from a photo that has shadows around the base of leaves. I think darkening the one in back will help…Thanks!
so suggestive ! just beautiful.. what a beautiful plant beautifully rendered
it’s almost more like an exotic animal than a plant… it is amazingly full of character… incredible plant
she is really absolutely enchanting.. i hope you post the finished piece, if you are still darkening this one. it really is just beautiful.

Thank you, Vern! Yes, forgot about that area behind the flower-good suggestions and appreciate feedback@
This is beautifully done. I love the subtle colors in the leaves. You’ve shown the textures wonderfully.
The flower pouch is so realistic – beautifully done

Yes I agree with all comments. Remember to always consider defining your overlapping areas to show structure and depth. Beautiful drawing!
