Very nice, Sarah. Yes, keep practicing! Drawing the same subject several times is a great way to improve. We learn so many lessons along the way. I think you’ve shown the folds in the petals very nicely here. What’s missing for me is the depth toward the center of the flower. I’d also love to see a view that showed how the flower attaches to the stem? Beautiful subject. What fun!
Thank you, Vern! The depth is exactly the thing I’ve had trouble capturing on this flower. Maybe if I tilt it just a little more, so the shallow cup shape is more visible…
