Hi Sharon, this is a great start. I really like your cast shadow on the right cherry. A few things you should think about: Be careful of the reflective light getting too light. The reflective light will almost always be darker than the highlight. I should be around a 4 on the value scale. Also try not to have an outline, especially around the highlight. Also think of the stems as cylinders. I see you started to do this at the base of the left one. That section looks good, just bring that effect up to the top. One other thing would be to darken the shadow side of the cherries and gradually bring it toward the center. At the core that shadow should probably be as dark as the that dark area you have around the base of the stems.
