I’m still working on the section. Thinking of getting rid of the dried stamens on the left of the section. Also, I think the section needs more toning on the shadow side. Open to any suggestions:)
Hi Sheila- the dried stamens seem fine. What don’t you like about them? I think in stead of adding a shadow to the section, I would remove the shadows from the seeds. The shadows are saying that those items are sitting on a surface, but all your other components are not. Just a thought. It is a beautiful page!
Hi Sheila! I was just watching the webinar (which I always learn soooo much from btw), and I’m at the part where this drawing is being discussed. It sounded like you are regretting adding the seeds. I just want to let you know that I love the seeds. And I think that adding a darker riper pomegranate in the back like Wendy suggested will make this even better. I wonder whether adding even more of the darker red elements around the outside edges of the painting would make that gorgeous center pop out as the focal point even more. Just a thought. This is absolutely beautiful.
@pgthompson thanks, Pam. I really appreciate your feedback. I have added a ripe pomegranate. Not finished yet, but posting it. I like your idea about elements all around! Thanks!

Doug, thanks for that thought. Yes, maybe better for everything to float. I’m really experimenting with this. Posting the next addition:)

You are a rockstar, Sheila.
