Hi Sheila- to me the striped head is the only thing I see. The other parts of the imagined images are subtle in comparison (almost solids even though there is some patterning). The beautiful botanical pieces are I assume softer and more delicate as a contrast. Maybe making one of the bags and/or the bird’s tail feathers in a bolder pattern would balance the piece more.
@doug-milne Doug, thanks for your feedback. I agree with you about the red and white face being very attention getting. I’m rearranging the pieces. The benefit of not gluing it down yet. I’m probably leaving my old collages behind for a while and return to the botanical collage to communicate the “interactions” 🙂
I made a background, but didn’t like it. A solid background seems better to me. This isn’t glued down yet. Any suggestions?
