Feels like summer to me! I’m loving your plays with composition. Are those cut off stems and fallen petals an indication of the lovely bouquet now in your home?
Thanks, Katy. The falling petals took place on the balcony and the flower stems do this interesting “V” sending the flowers and buds apart. And, I did cut lots of them to draw 🙂
Nice Sheila! Seriously, theres a book or cards or stationary or something in the works here – or a gallery show. Also could be fun to put these on paper that has been treated with watercolour washes, or wetted paper that you let watercolour bleed into and do its own thing…. remind me to tell you a good watercolor fan brush trick next time were in webinar or class together.

I love these scenes, they do tell a summery story and looks very tactile at the same time. I agree with Sam, there is something in the works here!
Thanks, Sam. I’ll try the wet paper and remind you to tell me about the fan brush trick!
Thanks, Renata. I’m glad they have a tactile look. There is a lot of handling involved, including smearing the color pencil by accident:)
So fun Sheila, I love your style
Thanks, Maureen. I’m having fun putting the flowers together. See you online in a few weeks!
