Hi Sheila- I love this collage! Everything is beautifully drawn and the colors are so well placed, which makes for a great composition! I think it is my favorite collage of yours to date.
Love this composition, Sheila. I think you’ve really hit on something with the “ground and sky” meeting in one drawing. Great job with the treatment of the ground here–I really like the combo of pencil/watercolor on the actual background with the paper bits scattered on top. I think that’s a great solution, and it ties the materials together nicely. I love the way all these different leaves are sort of cascading from “one branch.” Very surreal and uniting. You found so many awesome specimens for this! (Fwiw, I like “Sheltering Sky.”) 😉
Vern, thanks for your detailed feedback! I liked hanging varying plants on shared branches. And I’ve been thinking the title is Sheltering Sky, too. Seems like a welcoming and protective name.
The other names I was thinking about so far were: Circus Tent, or Sheltering Sky.

Yes, I agree with Doug! Beautiful! Warm and inviting!
Thanks, Doug!
Thanks, Katy!

Sheila, this is beautiful. It makes me think of a parent taking care of their babies, tickling them with love and joy. Makes me smile.
Thanks, Pam. I like that image you paint!
