Nice work on your toning, Tricia! When I am doing exercises like this, I like to squint my eyes and see if I can notice any “jumps” in the tonal steps. I think your light tones are looking great, but I think you could work on capturing some more nuance in the darkest tones. To me, it looks like there might be a big jump from 5 to 6, and then 7, 8, and 9 all feel very similar. This is so subtle, but remember it as you work on your drawings that you might want to pay extra attention to your darker areas and make sure you approach them gradually and not all at once.
