You are off to a good start Vicky! However, I don’t see the full range of tones on the pieces that would give them a cylindrical form. You have dark toning on the right and left side of the pieces where they cross. It gives the impression that the bottom pieces are gouged out to accept the top piece. Instead, If these pieces are round dowels, pencils, etc. and sit on top of each other, then the bottom pieces would only have a cast shadow on the right side or bottom (which is furthest from your light source). I would expect the darker area of toning on the horizontal pieces to be on the bottom of each piece rather than the top as you have shown. There are often items around the house you can use to set up a model. Pencils, dowels, chopsticks, etc can be set up and once lit properly can be used for reference.
