I agree with you Wendy. It is what you expect from a winter branch. You could always add a leaf on the bottom that is not attached to the branch, but has floated down. The leaves have a nice crinkly feeling and I love all the curves. Kudos to Dylan!!!!!
Beautiful, Wendy. If you want to, you could subtly play with cools and warms in this drawing. While I am firmly on Team Dylan, your husband’s response might be the brain’s desire for a contrast or tension between warms and cools. If you use just the tiniest touches of blue I some of the shadows, just a bit of blue indigo, it might achieve that. 🙂 Cheers.
I’m pleased with the simplicity of this drawing. My husband thought it was too bare…. but, Dylan my dog loves it.
