Such good color and texture! You have a really good highlight there too. I find it so hard to keep the gradual tones toward the middle of the highly and you’ve done it here. I bet you that Wendy is going to encourage you to erase just teensy bit at the center to give you a true light highlight!

I love it. I can see what Wendy is saying, but I actually would be worried of taking away that spare elegance.

I’m liking this composition, Pam. It’s the hardest part of the getting a more complex drawing going. Is this a larch?

Oh, I had asked you on a previous photo if you use color. I like the texture you’re getting on that acorn. It has that sort of bleached bloom coming in nicely. I agree that you could add a bit more contrast, but it’s lovely.

May I ask what pen you’re using? Do you do a lot of layout before you start to use ink? How big is this leaf on the page? So many questions!

Oo! That lichen is so cool! I haven’t seen that kind before. Where are you? It’s rendered so beautifully, too. Do you work in color or mostly in black and white?

Got inspired ( iced in here) to dig into my “nut supplies “ and pressed leaves. Fun to pull out the lesson on acorns and try again!
