I really like your addition of the dissected crab apples and the seeds! It just makes it that more interesting!

This was the development of one seed pod over six weeks. It was fun to watch it ripen then burst open!

That’s a tough one. Just another idea. Could you draw the leaf as though it were attached to the branch?

This is a magnolia leaf and outer bud layer. Not sure if that’s clear. Buds set in the fall and I was surprised to see this layer of “jacket” open!

Watched the October online meeting and felt exactly like the comments: that the stem was piercing the pear :(. And that was from the get go…anyhow, placed it behind, but agree a leaf or something else would add.
