Such a great page! I love the bloom in the right corner! Especially the star shape opening , such an interesting feature to show about the balloon flower. Well done! Love the whole page!

The veining in the petals is gorgeous! I also like the way the flower is turned in your composition.

Thanks, Vern. I will go back into this drawing. The seed pods are growing like crazy on the bush. I might have to do more dissecting!

It’s hard to say. I had a bunch of in-laws visiting while I was working on this, so it was done in spurts. Many hours. Definitely more than 10 total.

Thanks! The practice is finally showing some results. Using the fabriano artistico that I still have from Wendy made a huge difference in the number of layers I could use, as we all know but sometimes forget.

This is just so lovely, Pg. The delicate greens, the shading. It all comes together so well. How many hours do you think it took?

Thanks so much, Vern! The stem is in the center of something that’s flat on either side. I’ll attach a photo so you can see what I mean. My drawing definitely doesn’t appear that way!
