Even with the strength of the white flowers and petals my eyes keep going back to the cluster of leaves, which I absolutely love!!!!! Amazing Sam!!!!

Oh Sam. I just love this. I love how you used the tan of the paper show through in your leaves, and those petals are beautiful.

Thanks, Vern. I like cast shadows, although not always sure which subjects get or benefit from them. -

Thanks, Vern. I’m really into some primary colors lately (grey winter, although not today:) -

I really need to work on my iphone photography I think. White paper often shows up too grey and when I fiddle with the editor, colours get a bit weird. You’re probably right that it is a bit strong especially because the white of the petals has dulled down too much. Here’s a different exposure -

Thanks so much for all the positive comments on the illustration….now I really, really, really need to work on the lettering that I was afraid spoiled the page.

Beautiful Sam, I always love seeing your work. I agree it’s good use of the tan paper for shadows!

Look what happens when I neglect art feed! I adore this one. Wow those leaves! And the reddish hues on the lemon are so satisfying. Wow, Jill, Brava.

Splendid, Dora. Restful, calm. It’s like breathing nicely. I hope the seaside and your friends’ gardens take good care of you.

My eye goes right away to the glowing green/yellow to the left of the lower flower centre. I love the dark recess to light glow contrast there. The green/red palette is vibrant and the red edging of the petals is wonderful. Nice, delicate striations on the petals. And the red speckling- what a journey you went on here. Thanks for bringing me along. 🙂
