Thanks, Doug. I found the dead bumblebee on my balcony. They’ve always interested me because of their color and the way they move. -

Thanks, Sam. I’m still pretty hesitant about background, but enjoying the micron pens. -

Wow Dora! What a beautiful page! The composition, colors – everything works! The flower, single petal and the leaf on the bottom right are particularly wonderful!!!

Thank you! I do seem to have an affinity for amaryllis bulbs! I am fascinated that all three sections are so different from each other and yet each interesting on their own. The plant world is amazing!

@vern good to hear from you, I’m hoping to do more tulips on Kraft paper this spring. They’re just now emerging from the winter frost, dandelions are on my project list too as they start to appear!

@sam-mcwilliams that red really took on a life of its own, it was a fun process. Hope you’re enjoying spring on the coast, still a lot of “brown” here but soft buds emerging slowly on aspen and maple trees.

The changes have all ready made a big difference Karen! I think you could do more toning – both to the stem (which is looking much better in a stronger green) and to the flower. Thanks, Wendy! This drawing is very photogenic. For some reason it looks much better on the screen than in real life! 🙂

Thank you Sam and Renata!!! Pansies and violets are such happy flowers! So colorful and unique – it doesn’t hurt that they are one of those early Spring flowers we are itching to draw after a long winter!

Thanks Doug. Haven’t been doing too much as my right shoulder heals from tendonitis and bursitis but trying again. This was started pre injury. Added a few small touches and just doing some rough drawings atm.
-
Wishing good healing to your shoulder.

That anenome is so stunning – I can’t look away – keep getting drawn back in .
