I really like your painting. What is the plant? The pod is beautifully framed by the foliage.

Those cracks look great. I like how you get a little peek into the flesh of the tomato through the lovely cracks.

I’m anxious to here what others have to say about the paper and the soft fibers coming up. I had this problem too when I used Stonehenge legion HP paper. I think I have too heavy of a hand for it.

I suggest a few small scattered flowers falling, and these awesome flower details somewhere else. You could also do more laytex, another drop or else on a leaf edge dripping off So it is visible. And then these beautiful flower studies lined up at top or side or very bottom. Just my opinion. This is your composition so you get to play and choose!

Looking good Lucille. Very nice slow toning. Perhaps you can push even further with a tiny bit more dark on shadow side, that is darker than anything on the left side. And maybe try and erase your highlight just a few specks of really white paper showing through.

I made the latex drop a little larger. I hope that helps it look more latexy. I also cut my studies of the blown up flowers and played around a little. Does this work? Or is it too symmetrical. I’m trying to channel my inner Sheila. She’s so good at adding to her drawings
