Yes, I think that’s right. I’ll set it up again and see what I can do. Thanks! -

Hi Susannah- beautiful calla lilies! The saturation of color on the flowers is really nice and I feel like I would like to see the saturation on the leaves to be stronger.

Hi Rita- Wow! This is really beautiful! Great job! There are a couple of petals on the right flower that could use some toning because they would be in shadow, especially the three on the left. Maybe use earth green or a light grey for the toning. There is definitely room for the bulb and/or some other details you may discover if you dissected one…[Read more]

Hi Pam- seeing these in my yard I never would have thought to draw them and doing a great job with them. It is a great page and I hope you finish it!!!!! What about it is bothering you? You are doing a magnificent job capturing the details!

Great Sheila- you captured the bumps!

Hi Sheila- looks great! I also think the petals look good now. Leaves usually have a dark side and a light side especially noticeable along the main vein. I think that is missing on some of the leaves and adding that may achieve what you are looking for. Stay safe!

I am thinking of putting the bulb in the lower right corner, but not sure if I should just leave as is

Hi Pam,
It was fun how this came together, I love the challenge of keeping edges sensitive. Spring is just starting here on the Canadian prairies so we still have tulips have yet to bloom, what region are you in? -

Beautiful. I love the little tube thingies in the centers. And I think the petals show up nicely already.

Not finished with this yet, but I need to walk away from it for a while bc it’s driving me crazy, and I’m not loving it. But it’s been an interesting study. It’s twigs from different Acer rubrum (red maple) trees. Red maples are dioecious: some trees only have male flowers and others only have female flowers. The twig on the bottom right is from…[Read more]
