Hi Sheila- I guess I missed it on the previous post that the rose stem and leaves are to the left of the lavender (or salvia?) which obscures the connection to the rose. I still wish there was something to occupy the negative space below the rose.

The textures of the skins are so good Machi! Love the shiny red skins of the peppers and the translucent quality of the tomato skins!

Nice job Glenn! As much as I love the simplicity of the composition I think I would like the image better if the stem was shorter. Maybe like an inch below the third thorn up from the bottom.

I’m loving your Kraft paper pieces. The stem on the inflorescence is a tad stick straight. It can look more natural if you draw it with a little movement. Stems tend to bend just a bit at each node.

My eye lands on the natsurtium leaf. I think it’s because it’s like a bullseye, and centered so perfectly within the negative space on the right. Maybe try having the flower overlap on top of it a bit?
