We have lady slippers blooming by our dock, but I’m too intimidated to draw them. I think we should have a group retreat here next year around Memorial Day when the lady slippers are in bloom so someone can do them justice.

  Where is this exactly? I have been working on a pink lady slipper. We have them here but only in a nature preserve though we have one that blooms on my property. Here is what I did thus far.

  Wendy, that is just gorgeous! It’s at a little lake in the poconos that was turned into a family resort by a group of Quaker friends. They have all kinds of rules to keep it pristine and peaceful, so it’s almost like a nature preserve. If you type Lake Paupac Lodge, greentown, pa into mapquest, you can see where it is. But I’m probably going up again this weekend, so I may give it a try.
