    Hi Joan, I would like to see you integrate your dark sepia shadow color with your brown colors so rather than the branch appearing to change color, it is more about the three dimensional form changing from darker to lighter. Does this make sense?

        I mean the tones and colors should be blended together more, this can be achieved many ways and feathering is one. Practice some tone bars from light to dark with dark sepia, and then blend your brown,tan colors on top. See if that helps !
