My bougainvillea produced dozen of vibrant flowers this winter (under lights). I tried to capture the brilliance but my resident critic (husband) said that it was too monotone so I added leaves as you will see in the next entry. I did not want a totally exact reproduction of the subject but to give a light, airy look , i.e. to evoke the light papery bracts of the plant.
Just gorgeous Helene! You really captured the papery texture and they look very realistic! Rather than adding the leaves I would have suggested more saturation of color to approximate the brilliance.
