This is a beautiful drawing! I am curious if it is graphite and you plan it to be a black and white drawing or is it a polychrome and you will eventually add color? Either way there is more toning you could do to establish form and enhance the details. The cluster of small petals especially could use some definition. It is a great start!
Hi Doug. I’m sorry I didn’t locate this comment section until now. I was listening on the webinar where Wendy said to use the watercolor pencils first. This is just the initial sketch. The peony is long gone so I’ll have to work from memory.
