Hi Helene- it appears in the photo that the newer leaf growth at the top of the plant is a lighter green than the more mature, darker green leaves beneath it. I can see where it can get confusing because that is different than drawing some leaves paler and/or less detailed. Generally when you are having leaves be paler or fading it is because they are further back in the composition. It can be very effective and it really puts emphasis on your focal point, but not just any leaf can be paler. Regardless, your drawing is beautifully rendered and you did a wonderful job!!!
Hi Doug, I understand what you are saying. My intention was to use this as a model but add berries to it. So I wasn’t too sure how to deal with the leaves since leaves are usually mature when the berries appear. Thank you for you tip ! I will keep it in mind.
