This is beautiful Cathie! The onion is nicely rendered and the colors are wonderful. I question the location of the main highlight. Rather than dead center I would expect it to be more to the left. Or maybe there would another highlight to the left of your existing highlight. I would revisit the cast shadows. Cast shadows should be darkest where they start next to the subject and then they fade as they move away from the subject. It should also angle back at a 45 degree angle rather than being horizontal as shown. Since we are basing the cast shadows on the light coming over your left shoulder at a 45 degree angle the cast shadow of the papery stem you show would not exist.
