I’m working on the Year Long Challenge. I have a small branch from a Carolina Allspice that I transplanted several years ago. It’s a small shrub with deep bergundy flowers that bloom in June and smell like strawberries. View
Hi Vern, Yes they are all different views from a fantail willow tree and at different stages. The new leaves and pussy willow fuzzies are from a piece of branch that I pruned last month, then the next view is the bottom of the pruned piece that I put in a vase to root. The the rest are two different views of branches that I saved and let dry. The next stage of the tree is when it develops catkins…, probably in a month or so. I want to try and draw that too. I’ll post some pics of the pieces I drew from.
I love the different views in this study Donna. Really like the curled up piece!
Thank you!
Hey Donna! Haven’t “seen” you in awhile! These drawings are wonderful! I especially like the pussy-willow!
Thank you, —I’ve been very busy with work these days, but have been trying to draw a little as often as possible…
Donna are these all the same plant? So interesting. I love the fuzzy looking blossoms and the vertical texture of the bark.
