I’m working on the Year Long Challenge. I have a small branch from a Carolina Allspice that I transplanted several years ago. It’s a small shrub with deep bergundy flowers that bloom in June and smell like strawberries. View
Beautiful, Donna. I especially like the highlights on the cherries.

Your delicate touch is always so refreshing, Donna. My favorite part of this drawing is the place where the leaves and stem intersect. Such great detail there. Nice color on the cherries, and good roundness, though, I daresay, you could push the darks and the lights a bit further to really make the cherries shine. If you make the highlight a little smaller, you’ll get more of a shiny effect. Beautiful. 🙂
Lovely Donna … I love the contrasting energies … the leaves have such a relaxed character about them, lazily going about collecting food so that their cherries can be cheerfully spright.

This is so soft looking!

Thank you all!
This is so soft and delicate looking. I love how graceful it feels. Beautifully done.
Donna – I love your delicate touch as well. It’s something I wish I could do better! Great job!
