Lovely branch, Hendrika! You did a nice job capturing the leaf buds at the top. You left a really nice bright highlight, which is working to make your branch look round and three-dimensional. My only suggestion would be to make it a little more irregular so it feels a little more textural and natural. You can do this by coming in a little closer to the highlight with some mid and light tones in a few places, and even make it disappear and reappear so it is “broken up” and doesn’t feel like a white space. Does that make sense? This is a lovely drawing. Is this your first post? You’re doing great!
