Hi Karen, So many nice things about this drawing. Your color choices are very good. I especially like the colors you use in the shadows on the white bud. It is a challenge to choose the correct colors when drawing a white subject. You have risen to that challenge! And the drawing on that bud is well observed. My suggestions would be to tone down the highlights on the leaves. They are a bit heavy handed. You have the right idea with a high contrast on a shiny leaf, but it needs to be more integrated into the drawing and not draw attention. Maybe break them up with some indication of the veins.
