This looks very nice and I would look at this as a map to now go into and make the veins much less important. First look at the photo of the leaf and see how quiet the veining looks. It is subtle, thinner and the values of the color between the leaf and the veins are closer in value. Since you did such a nice job on this leaf, perhaps leave it alone and draw another one, next to it, and do this leaf with my suggestions. We would all love to be able to see the difference. Make sure to keep your veins irregular and not to straight!
