First watercolor attempt. Need to work on my stalk. Not sure I have the right green shades – maybe more olive? And need to take that leaf lesson – today! 😄
Remember to put your highlights in your stalks too. They are cylinders. 🙂 I like how Wendy will load up her brush with a color and then hold it right up tp the plant to check if she likes it. Let’s keep experimenting and being willing to make mistakes. 🙂

Leslie, these onions are looking good. I think you made some great observations about what you can work on. I recommend practicing your smooth, gradual toning a bit more. If you look at the leaves, there is a clear jump from dark tone to mid tone; try smoothing that out a little more. Same goes for the highlight on the bulb; it jumps very quickly from a midtone to the white of the paper. Try smoothing that a bit so that the color transitions gradually.
