This is a fun composition, Sherry! Nice to see all the parts of this plant. I would recommend a few more dark tones in places–on the shadow side of the pod itself, as well as the leaves and flowers. Because you have that nice dark element in the seed, I think you can carry it through into other parts of the drawing, to give the composition some more balance. 🙂
I feel like I use too much color sometimes. That was what I thought with the seedpod. So I backed off and used a lighter touch on the rest of the elements. Should I shade the pod with color or sepia? I am kind of scared to add more to the flowers and leaves. I might mess it up.
